   Edward G. Shomody, 77, Nokomis, Fla., formerly of Baker Whiteley and Hooversville,
  passed away June 21, 2008, at home. He is preceded in death by parents, infant son,
  Edward, and brother, Eugene J. Shomody. Survived by wife, Claire (Givens) Shomody;
  children, David, Shanksville; Elizabeth Wirich, Manns Choice; Paul, Stoystown; Nancy
  Nosko and husband, Dr. Michael, Stoystown; Robert, Mansfield, Texas; nine grandchildren
  and 10-greatgrandchildren. A veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from the Federal
  Aviation Administration.
