  SHOMODY, Eugene John  12/08/07   Daily American
  
    Eugene John Shomody died Nov. 18, 2007, at his residence. Born March 16, 1934, in
  Johnstown. He is preceded in death by his mother, Florence Shomody Scarberry; father,
  John Shomody; stepfather, Jack Scarberry. Survived by his wife, Wilma Malone Shomody of
  the home; daughters, Denise Lyn Clark and Dawn Morton, all of Corry; son, Douglas
  Shomody, Wilmington, N.C.; grandchildren, Michelle, Kelly, Tara and David; and one
  great-granddaughter, all of Corry. Gene served honorably in the U.S. Navy in the Korean
  War. He loved golf and cabinet making. He had many friends and will be dearly missed by
  all who knew him. At his request no public service will be held. The family requests in
  lieu of flowers please send donations to Lower Cape Fear Hospice, 2222 S. 17th St.,
