    Catherine A. "Cathy" Shourds, 44, Crest View Drive, Davidsville
  died Aug. 31, 2000 at Memorial Medical Center.  Born Sept. 7, 1955 in
  Johnstown, daughter of Clyde and Phyllis (Betts) Tiffany.  Preceded in
  death by father, and an infant sister.  Survived by mother, Johnstown;
  husband, Evan Shourds, and son Zachary at home.  Sister of Karen
  Gaydos, Stoystown, and Patricia Koontz, Harrisburg.  Was an active
  member of Westmont United Methodist Church, where she served as
  president of the Rainbow Room pre-school board of directors.  Served
  on a mission trip to Russia last year with Josh McDowell
  Ministries.  Secretary of Conemaugh Township Soccer Boosters. 
  Retired from Dept. of Public Welfare office, Johnstown.  Was a
  devoted mother, and wife of 16 years.  She loved her family and they
  loved her.  Family receiving friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
  Saturday at George E. Mason Funeral Home, Inc., Davidsville, where
  service will be held Sunday.  Those who wish, please make donations
  to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
