Show, 89, Loveland, Colo., died March 7, 2005, at his home. He was born March 29, 1915, in Farmington, New Mexico, a son of the late Jervis and Esther (McCartney) Show. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a twin sister, Dorothy McElroy, a sister, Lena Show and brothers, Willis and Wendell Show. He is survived by his wife, Ann (Williams) Show, whom he married Nov. 4, 1939, in Cumberland, Md.; a daughter, Tammy Brown Calhoon and her husband, Bob, Loveland; a grandson, Barry Brown and a granddaughter, Bonnie Brown MacDonald, both of Denver. As a youngster, his family moved to Farmington. He graduated from Uniontown High School in 1934 and from Penn State University in 1938 with a bachelor's degree in Forestry. Mr. Show was employed by M. W. Kellogg Construction Co. as a petroleum construction chief engineer, working on jobs in Iran, South America, Belgium, Canada, Puerto Rico and throughout the United States. He was also an inventor and is credited with creating a pure fresh water machine for the city of Barranca Bermeja, Columbia, which provided the first purified water that didn't have to be carried to the city. He retired in 1977 to Hill Top Lakes Resort City, Texas, and then recently to Weld County, Colo., to be with their daughter, Tammy. He was a member of the Hill Top Lakes Chapel and the Greeley Wesleyan Church in Greeley, Colo. Mr. Show was also a Mason and a former member of the Lions Club. Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, where a funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. William A. Durst officiating, and assisted by Brenda Shreve. Interment will follow in Addison Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the State Line Methodist Church, Grantsville, Maryland
