    Frederick William Showalter, 84 of Salisbury, died Wednesday, September 17, 2008 in
  Somerset Hospital, Somerset.
    He was born October 2, 1923, in West Salisbury, son of the late Samuel Curtis and
  Mabel (Beynon) Showalter.
    He is survived by his wife, Bette Jane (Dishong) Showalter; daughter, Eleanor
  Lundgren and husband, Larry, Jr.; grandson, Timothy Showalter and wife, Jill; great
  grandson, Holden Showalter, all of Baltimore; five sisters: Hazel Garlitz, Salisbury;
  Harriet Higgens, OH; Felicia Gross, OH; Linda Schaeffer, Glenwood, MD and Carol Helman,
  Burlington, NJ.
    Mr. Showalter was a service technician for Showalter Appliance Store. He was a U.S.
  Army and Air Corps veteran of WWII.
    A private service was held for the immediate family at Newman Funeral Home, Inc.,
  9168 Mason-Dixon Hwy., Salisbury.
