  SHOWMAN
  
  I. Merle "Herk" Showman, 49, Somerset RD 4, (Bakersville), formerly
  of Indian Head, died Aug. 17, 1987.  Born March 13, 1938, at Indian
  Head, a son of Maude M. (Sleasman) Showman of Bakersville and the
  late Frank M. Showman.  In addition to his mother, he is survived by
  four sisters: Mrs. Arden (Loretta) Hostetler, Bakersville; Mrs.
  William (Mary) Good, Uniontown; Mrs. Darrel (Marlene) Berger, White,
  Pa.; and Mrs. John (Beverly) Tamburino of Pittsburgh; two brothers:
  Joseph D., Connellsville RD 2; and Harvey D. of Champion.  Preceded
  in death by two brothers, Robert B. and Donald R., and a twin sister,
  Lois Beryl.  Resident of Indian Head most of his life.  Retired barber
  and was formerly employed by the Seven Springs Resort.  Attended
  Millertown Community Church.  Friends will be received at the Clyde
  Brooks Funeral Home, Inc., Route 711 at Melcroft, Pa., 2-9 p.m.
  Tuesday and 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Wednesday.  Services will be held Thursday
  at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. David Huey officiating. 
  Interment, Mt. Nebo Cemetery at Champion.
