She was born Feb. 14, 1898 in Somerset, the daughter of the late Walter J. and Cora (Swank) Bittner. She was also preceded in death by three brothers: Harry, Orlo and George. Survived by her husband, William Earl. A sister of Mrs. Bessie Crone, and Sadie, wife of R.E. Holtzworth, both of Beaver. She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church and a former member and past President of Somerset BPW and the Somerset Soroptomists. Along with her husband, Mrs. Showman was a former owner of the Green Meadows Tea Room. Friends are being received at the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home, where services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Theodore G. Cole officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
