  SHOWMAN
  
  Mrs. Viola (Vie) May Showman, 79, North Park Ave., Somerset, died
  Jan. 14, 1978 in Somerset Community Hospital.  She was born Feb. 14,
  1898 in Somerset, the daughter of the late Walter J. and Cora (Swank)
  Bittner.  She was also preceded in death by three brothers: Harry,
  Orlo and George.  Survived by her husband, William Earl.  A sister of
  Mrs. Bessie Crone, and Sadie, wife of R.E. Holtzworth, both of
  Beaver.  She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church and a
  former member and past President of Somerset BPW and the Somerset
  Soroptomists.  Along with her husband, Mrs. Showman was a former
  owner of the Green Meadows Tea Room.  Friends are being received at
  the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home, where services will be conducted
  at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Theodore G. Cole officiating. 
  Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
