  JOHN LEWIS SHROYER
  
    John Lewis Shroyer, 88, died Jan. 5, 1981, at Sacred Heart
  Hospital, Cumberland, Md.
    He was a resident of Hyndman, and was born in Hyndman March 14,
  1892, the son of Andrew J. and Ellen Jane (Beal) Shroyer.  He is
  survived by wife, Emma (Glass) Shroyer; three daughters: Elizabeth
  Sullivan of Pasedena, Md.; Claudine Coughenour of Berlin; and Dorothy
  Eckard of Hyndman RD 1.  Also survived by 11 grandchildren and eight
  great-grandchildren.
    He was self-employed as a carpenter and served in WWI as a
  corporal.  He was a member of the Fairhope Community Church; the
  Hyndman Grange; Hyndman Senior Citizens; and a life member of the
  American Legion Home Association, Post No. 11313.
    Funeral services were held at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home,
  Hyndman, with the Rev. Leroy Logsdon officiating.  Interment, Hyndman
  Cemetery.
    Family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to
  the American Heart Association.
