Shroyer, wife of Charles Shroyer, died at her home 320 Meyers Avenue, Tuesday morning at 5:30 after a long illness. She was born in Meyersdale, November 26, 1891, the daughter of the late Henry C. Knieriem and Pauline Tilp Knieriem. She is survived by her husband, Charles; her mother, Mrs. Knieriem, who makes her home with the Shroyers; one brother, Paul H. Knieriem of McKeesport, and one sister, who came from Philadelphia where she is employed, several months ago, to care for Mrs. Shroyer and her household. Funeral services will be held at the home, Friday afternoon at 4 o'clock. Rev. Nelson C. Brown of York, former pastor of Amity Reformed Church, will conduct the services, assisted by Rev. H. K. Hilner, pastor of Zion Lutheran Church. Friends will be received at the Price Funeral Home until Thursday at one o'clock, when the body will be removed to the home until time of the funeral. Interment will be made in Union Cemetery. Mrs. Shroyer had a wide circle of friends as she took an active part in community affairs. She was a member of Amity Evangelical and Reformed Church and of the Missionary Circle of the Woman's Guild. She was a member of the Garden Club and a charter member of the Woman's Club. She served as treasurer on the board of directors of the Meyersdale Free Library since its founding in 1938. Meyersdale Republican, May 13, 1948
