  SHROYER, Roger L.  07/18/06  Daily American
  
    Roger L. Shroyer, Sr., 61, Fairhope, died July 16, 2006 at Somerset Hospital. He was
  born Sept. 12, 1944 in Fairhope, a son of the late James and Rozella (Hutzell) Shroyer.
  He was also preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Shroyer, Sr. He is survived by, Doris
  (Merkel) Shroyer, his wife of 38 years, whom he married, April 12, 1968; sons, Roger L.
  Shroyer, Jr. and wife Stephanie, Tracy L. Shroyer and wife Stephanie, and Scott W.
  Shroyer all of Fairhope; five grandchildren, Hunter, Courtney, Sierra, Haylee, and
  Teylor. Mr. Shroyer was a U.S. Marine Corps. veteran serving in Vietnam. He worked for
  Standard Register Company for many years and was a member of the Kennells Mill
  Sportsmen's club. Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday at the Harvey
  H. Zeigler Funeral Home, 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman. A memorial service to follow 12
  p.m. with the Rev. Eugene Baley officiating.
