  VERNON R. SHROYER
  
    Vernon R. Shroyer, 63, of Garrett, died June 12, 1975, in Veterans
  Hospital, Altoona.  Born in Allegheny Township, Aug. 11, 1911, he was
  a son of the late Frank and Susan (Glessner) Shroyer.  He was preceded
  in death by his wife, the former Kathryn Walters, and one sister.
    Mr. Shroyer was a member of the Garrett Volunteer Fire Department,
  the Meyersdale VFW and American Legion.
    Surviving are the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Myrtle
  Bittner, Garrett; Mrs. Glenn (Mildred) Thomas and Curtis Shroyer,
  both of Fairhope; Mrs. Charles (Nellie) Zerfoss and Mrs. Pearl
  Hillegass, both of Berlin RD 1; and Stanford Shroyer, St. Louis, Mo.
    Funeral service was held Sunday afternoon in Johnson and Son
  Funeral Home, Berlin, with Rev. Earl Meyers officiating.  Interment
  in Highland Cemetery, Garrett.
