    Betty J. (Melleky) Shubik, 82, Stoystown, formerly of Boswell, died March 30, 2007, at
  Somerset Hospital. Born April 8, 1924, in Jenners, daughter of Andrew and Lucille (Pritz)
  Melleky. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Samuel; and sisters, Anna Sheftic and
  Doris Knapp. Survived by a son, Andrew, married to the former Pam Schmucker, Stoystown;
  and grandsons, Monte, Joe and Drew Shubik. Member of St. Andrews Lutheran Church,
  Boswell. There will be no viewing at Betty's request. Family will receive friends from 5
  p.m. until a memorial service 7 p.m. Sunday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown. The Rev.
  Pat Walsh officiat-ing. Memorial contributions may be given to Meals on Wheels, 235 W.
  Church St., Somerset, PA 15501, or the American Cancer Society, 168 W. Union St.,
  Somerset, PA 15501.
