  FRANCES I. (SZEWCZYK) SHUBIK
  
  Frances I. (Szewczyk) Shubik, 93, formerly of Boswell, died Dec. 20,
  2004, at Laurelwood Care Center, Westmont. Born June 7, 1911, in
  Boswell. Daughter of Charles and Frances (Lacz) Szewczyk. Preceded in
  death by parents, husband Andrew "Mooney" on Aug. 27, 1965, daughter
  Helen Cheek on March 25, 1999, two infant sisters, sister Mary Kubas
  and brothers Charles, Edward, and Thadeus "Butch." Survived by
  grandsons David Cheek, Boswell, Stephen Cheek married to the former
  Michelle Maust, Baltimore, Md., and Brian Cheek married to the former
  Lora Evans, New Windsor, Md. Great-grandsons, Ian, Logan, and Dylan
  Cheek. Brother Walter married to the former Joan Franke, Johnstown,
  special nieces Mary Lee Sheftic and Mary Jane Cavallo, both of
  Boswell, and Jo Kubas, Lee's Summit, Mo. and sisters-in-law, Mary and
  Kathryn Szewczyk and Elizabeth Balsavage, all of Boswell. A member of
  All Saints Catholic Parish and the Pa. Tavern Association. Retired
  owner/operator of the Old Tavern, Jenner Crossroads and the Boswell
  Hotel. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the
  Hoffman Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell, where vigil for the
  deceased will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral Mass at 10 a.m.
  Thursday at All Saints Church, Boswell. The Rev. Father Daniel G.
  Fink OFM Conv. Celebrant. Committal at St. Stanislaus Cemetery,
  Boswell.
