(Butch) 07/25/07 Daily American Leonard H. "Butch" Shuck, 63, passed away June 14, 2007, in Cumberland, Md. He is the son of Dalton Shuck, Meyersdale, and the late Cora. Also preceded in death by two nephews. Survived by wife of 22 years, Loretta "Bonnie" Shuck; sons, Paul and wife, Tracy and Richard and Lisa, both of Cumberland; and daughter, Dottie Gindlesperger and husband, Gary, Berlin; stepchildren, Linda McDonald, Cumberland; Kenneth Norris, Paw Paw, W.Va.; Kim Florason, Cumberland; and T.J. Norris, Short Gap, W.Va.; siblings, Mary Louise Counts and husband, William, Tupelo, Miss.; Linda Baker and husband, Wayne, Moshoppen; Betty Rosenberger and husband, James, Garrett; Elizabeth Rosenberger and husband, Robert, Dale Shuck and wife, Ellen, Robert Shuck and wife, Gloria, Vivian Smith and husband, Walter and Michelle Holt and husband, David, all of Meyersdale; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and 26 nieces and nephews. A U.S. Army and Navy veteran who served in Vietnam and received many medals. Also a retired truck driver and restaurant owner. Butch enjoyed gardening and hunting and volunteered many hours driving for Sacred Heart Hospital and the Veterans Hospital and was a member of Mexico Farms Crime Watch where he resided. He was laid to rest at Maryland State Veterans Cemetery, Rocky Gap, with full military honors.
