Born Aug. 13, 1922, in Wellersburg, a daughter of the late Lloyd Samuel and Mammie (Gaumer) Sturtz. Also preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Karl C. Shuck, who died Sept. 24, 2002. Survived by two daughters, Sheila Bard, Warfordsburg and Diane, wife of Roger Smearman, Wellersburg; four grandchildren, Dariel Pelton, Scott Bard, Holly Smearman and Kara Smearman; and two great-grandsons, Ethan Christner Pelton and Dayton Andrew Pelton. A sister of: Lloyd Sturtz Jr., Pittsburgh, Gladys Witte, Wellersburg, and Madeline Kirby, Cumberland, Md. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Lee Griggs officiating. She was born August 13, 1922, in Wellersburg, a daughter of the late Lloyd Samuel and Mammie (Gaumer) Sturtz. She was also preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Karl C. Shuck, who died September 24, 2002. She is survived by two daughters: Sheila Bard, Warfordsburg; and Diane, wife of Roger Smearman, Wellersburg; four grandchildren: Dariel Pelton, Scott Bard, Holly Smearman, and Kara Smearman; and two great-grandsons: Ethan Christner Pelton and Dayton Andrew Pelton.
