Shultz, 94, of Stroudsburg, died Sept. 27, 1998, in the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg. He was the husband of Helen L. (Lemon) Shultz, at home. Born Oct. 25, 1903, in Kimmel, Somerset County, he was the son of the late Noah C. and Margaret (Barclay) Shultz and had lived in the area since 1968, moving here from Wynnewood, Montgomery County, Pa. He had worked as a civil engineer with the Pennsylvania Railroad for 40 years, retiring in 1964. A 1924 graduate of Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, he was a member and Deacon of the First Presbyterian Church, Stroudsburg; a member of the Glenside Lodge 67, F&AM; and a former Professional Engineer, State of Pa. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Edgar R. "Dick" Shultz of Cherry Hill, N.J.; five grandchildren: Dan, Jenifer, Tom, Richie, and Gaylea and one great-grandson. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the First Presbyterian Church of Stroudsburg, with Rev. Carol Brown and Rev. George Taylor officiating. Private burial in Laurelwood Cemetery, Stroudsburg. The William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg, is in charge of arrangements. Daily American, September 29, 1998 [S1597]
