All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/somerset/ _______________________________________________ HAROLD CREED SHULTZ Harold Creed Shultz, 50, of Honolulu, an employee of Pan American Airlines, died suddenly on April 2 in Nadi, Fiji, while on a promotional tour for the airline. While attending a banquet, he was overcome by a coronary occlusion, coronary thrombosis and coronary artery disease. Services were conducted in a Honolulu mortuary, with Pastor James Cook officiating. Interment was in the National Memorial Cemetery of Pacific-Punch Bowl. Harold was born in Meyersdale and attended school here. He saw service in the Second World War, 1943 to 1946. His father, Daniel Shultz and the late Raymond Lint, were in business in the former William Penn Garage, now Sanner and Fisher, on Main Street. The Shultz family later moved to Ohio. Harold was a graduate of the Cincinnati School of Mortuary Science and held licenses in Ohio and Hawaii as a funeral director and embalmer. He was associated with the Honolulu Casket Co. and was a member of Hawaii Mortuaries and Science Assoc. A Free and Accepted Mason in Ohio, McKinley Lodge, Harold in November, 1976, would have spent 25 years with Pan American and would have been eligible for retirement. Surviving are two sons, Kim and Kevin; a daughter, Kelly Ann; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Shultz of Canton, Ohio; a sister, Mrs. Patricia Kittredge of Los Angeles and his grandmother, Mrs. Roy Richert, Canton, Ohio.
