Due to injuries received in a mine accident, he had been an invalid for more than 19 years. Born in Meyersdale on Mar. 22, 1888, he was a son of the late Daniel and Mary (Rumizer) Shultz. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Glenna (Hood) Shultz, two sons, Robert and Lynn, of Turtle Creek, and one daughter, Philomena M. Shultz, who resides near Pittsburgh. Also living are one brother, Earl Shultz, Berlin, a half-brother, Daniel Shultz, Canton, O.; two sisters, Mrs. Frank Taylor, Hyndman; Mrs. F. A. Lenty, Hollywood, Cal., a half-sister, Mrs. Lloyd Keller, Cumberland, Md., and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Shultz home on Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, with Rev. Loren Bowman officiating. He was a member of the Main St. Brethren Church. Interment will be in the Union Cemetery under the direction of W. C. Price & Son. Meyersdale Republican, August 1, 1946
