Born Jan. 4, 1908, in Black Township, a son of the late Cyrus and Hattie (Landis) Shultz. Preceded in death by six brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife, Bessie (Shultz) Shultz; a daughter, Rebecca, wife of Jack Webreck, Maretta [sic], Ga.; one son, Ronald, married to the former Ester Carr, Rockwood; these grandchildren: Susan, wife of William Bray, Woodbridge, Va.; Jack Webreck Jr., married to the former Karen Erwin, Lawrenceville, Ga.; Jill, wife of John Seymour, Mableton, Ga.; Mark and Amy Webreck, Smyrna, Ga.; William, married to the former Donna Adams, Rockwood; and Cherie (Shultz) Spangler, Somerset; 12 great-grandchildren: Staci, Keely and Michael Bray, Joshua and John Seymour, Sara and Steven Webreck, Tonya, Sonya, Keyla, Kayla and Shawna Shultz; and one sister, Mrs. Gerald (Maud) Donahue, Stoystown. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Somerset, for the past 51 years and member of Brotherhood Bible Class. His death terminated a marriage union of 59 years. He was a retired employee of Laurel Hill State Park. Friends will be received 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday, in Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home. Memorial services Friday, 11 a.m., in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Arthur Gotjen and the Rev. William Hay officiating.
