Shultz, 70, of Meyersdale, died Jan. 23, 2003 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born May 8, 1932 in Brothersvalley Township. A son of the late Russell A. and Mary F. (Ringler) Shultz. Also preceded in death by a brother, John Wayne Shultz and sisters: Margaret Thomas, Mary Esther Smith, Florence Sarver, Helen Wallace and Anna Swearman. Survived by his wife, the former Glenda C. Compton and a son, Robert A. Shultz and his wife Murue, Meyersdale. A brother of: Helen Lichty, Berlin, Lois, wife of Richard Saylor, Berlin, Ruth Butler, Meyersdale and Dorothy Castelle, Arizona. Veteran of the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy. Former employee of H.W. Walker Co. Somerset for 18 years; Agway in Somerset for 13 years, Sperry Well Drilling and was a courier for the Daily American in Somerset for 22 years. A current member of the Summit Township Supervisors. A charter member of the Highpoint Trailriders. A member of: Woodman of the World; Chickentown Gas & Steam Assoc., Somerset; Grease Steam & Rust Assoc., New Enterprise and Nittany Antique Machinery Assoc. Roy's hobbies included collecting farm toys and was an avid collector of antique tractors and lawn and garden tractors. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale where service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Ray Gnagey officiating. Interment Mt. Zion (Hay's) United Church of Christ Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Mt. Zion (Hay's) United Church of Christ Memorial Fund, Maple Valley Rd., Meyersdale, Pa. 15552.
