Shultz, 86, of Somerset, died June 28, 2001, at Siemon's Lakeview Manor Estate. Born July 18, 1914, in Somerset Township, she is the daughter of the late Daniel J. and Mabel Harriet (Schrock) Shultz. Also preceded in death by brother Lester E. Shultz, and sister, Mabel E. Shultz. Survived by a sister, Mildred M. Shultz of Somerset, and a number of cousins and good friend Harold Lambert. Life long member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ where she taught Sunday School for 47 years, was a member of the choir and the Women's Groups. Miss Shultz was named Pennsylvania State Grange's Outstanding Pomona Women's Activities Chairman for 1990. She was a member of the Grange for 70 years and served as Community Service Chairperson. She retired after a 34 year career as cashier and bookkeeper with the J.C. Penney Co. in Somerset. She enjoyed presenting humorous and entertaining skits with her sisters and church members. Friends received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, Somerset. Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the St. Paul's United Church of Christ with Rev. Glenn Sadler officiating. Interment in Somerset County Memorial Park. Contributions may be made to St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 202 W. Union St. Somerset, Pa. 15501.
