  SHUMAKER
  
  Aleda U. Shumaker, 76, 400 Penn Ave., Jerome, died March 30, 1983, at
  Memorial Hospital.  Born Dec. 31, 1906, in Tunnelton, W. Va., daughter
  of Alonzo H. and Elizabeth (Brandler) Shumaker.  Preceded in death by
  parents; sisters, Myrtle, Rhea, and Vivian.  Survived by sister,
  Zeta, widow of J. Charlton Truax, Jerome.  Member of Jerome Lutheran
  Church, Somerset County Postmasters Association, Jerome Firemen's
  Auxiliary, Historial and Genealogical Society of Somerset County, and
  the AARP.  Postmistress in Jerome for many years.  Formerly employed
  by Pennsylvania Department of Health, Vital Statistics.  Friends
  received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at Hoffman Funeral Home, 227
  Allegheny St., Boswell, where services will be held at 11 a.m.
  Saturday with the Rev. George E. Bowersox.  Interment, Salisbury
  Cemetery.
