ELMIRA SHUMAKER

  Mrs. Elmira Shumaker died at her home at 522 Salisbury St., at 9:30 o'clock on 
Wednesday evening, November 20, at the age of 84 years, 7 months and 8 days.  
She was the widow of Edward S. Shumaker, who died 30 years ago.
  A daughter of Jerry and Louisa (Patton) Miller, she was born in Maryland, 
April 21, 1860.
  Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Lewis Sutton, Meyersdale; Mrs. Lakin 
Friend, Indian Head, Pa.; and Mrs. Kenneth Brubaker, Hooversville; two sisters, 
Mrs. Harriet Folk, Salisbury, and Mrs. Isabelle Geisbert, Johnstown; one 
brother, William H. Miller, Canton, Ohio; 14 grandchildren and 22 great-
grandchildren.
  Funeral services will be conducted in the Meyersdale Church of the Brethren, 
of which she was a member, at 2:30 o'clock on Saturday afternoon, by her pastor, 
Rev. DeWitt L. Miller.  Interment will be made in Union Cemetery under the 
direction of W. C. Price & Son.
