GEORGE SHUMAKER

  Another funeral of interest in Summit Mills was that of the 6-year-old son of 
Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Shumaker of Springs, last Thursday, in St. Paul's 
Evangelical and Reformed Church.  He died suddenly of diabetes, which was not 
rightly diagnosed in time to help him.  Mrs. Shumaker is the former Mildred 
Harding of West Salisbury and spent some time in her youth visiting and living 
with relatives in this town.  The child, George, is survived by his parents, one 
sister and one brother.
