  SHUMAKER
  
  John Howard Shumaker, 72, Meyersdale, died May 10, 1985, Meyersdale
  Community Hospital.  Born April 17, 1913, in Meyersdale, son of the
  late Daniel B. and Emma (Tressler) Shumaker.  Also preceded in death
  by a son, Kenneth Howard.  Survived by his widow, Madeline (Hillegas)
  Shumaker; one son, David C. of Wellersburg; two daughters: Mrs. Ella
  Sicheri and Mrs. Janet Mankamyer, both of Somerset; five
  grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.  He was a brother of
  William B. of Frostburg, Md.; Clarence E., Endwell, N.Y.; Robert G.
  and Fred H., both of Meyersdale; and Mrs. Mary Brant, Rockwood.  He
  was a member of the Meyersdale Grace Brethren Church.  He was
  formerly employed by the Dr. Wenzel Hospital, Meyersdale;
  Westinghouse Air Brake, Queen City Dairy and Somerset Welding. 
  Friends will be received in the Leckemby Funeral Home after 7 p.m.
  Saturday.  The body will be taken to the Meyersdale Grace Brethren
  Church on Monday to lie in state until 11 a.m., time of service, with
  the Rev. Ron Warrick officiating.  Interment, Union Cemetery.
