  NETTIE SHUMAKER
  
    Mrs. Nettie Shumaker, 86, of Westminster, Md., died August 18,
  1977, at Pullin Elder Care Center, Sykesville, Md., after a long
  illness.
    Prior to her admission to the Nursing Home she resided with her son
  Roy L. Shumaker at 1620 Exeter Road, Westminster, Md.
    Mrs. Shumaker's husband Milton W., a former Westinghouse Electric
  Co., Lester, Pa., employee, died in 1953.  They resided in Sun
  Village, Chester, for 30 years.
    Mrs. Shumaker, the former Nettie Miller, was the daughter of Harvey
  H. and Elizabeth (Gingerich) Miller.  She was born at Grantsville,
  Md., and resided there until her marriage.  Her husband Milton W.
  Shumaker, was the son of the late William J. and Eliza (Ferguson)
  Shumaker of the Maple Glen area.
    She is survived by three children: William H. of Sparta, N.J.; Roy
  L. of Westminster, Md.; and Mrs. Callene Overdorf, of Millersville;
  and five grandchildren.  She is also survived by a sister, Mrs.
  Edward O. (Minta) Jenkins, Grantsville, Md., and two brothers, Lewis
  H. Miller, Akron, Ohio, and Guernie H. Miller, Media.
    She was a member of the Drexel Hill Church of the Brethren of which
  faith she was a life-long member.
    Funeral services were held August 20 at Fletcher's Funeral Home,
  Westminster, Md., and burial was at Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood.
