Shumaker, died at her home, 324 Sherman St., Sunday night, July 16, at the age of 62 years. A daughter of A. Q. and Matilda (Weimer) Housel, Mrs. Shumaker was born in Meyersdale on July 3, 1882. In addition to her husband she leaves six children - Allen Shumaker, Akron; Rev. Paul C. Shumaker, Greenville, Pa.; Pfc. Artha Shumaker, in training at Camp Reynolds, Greenville; Sgt. Robert Shumaker, Hartford, Conn.; Mrs. Carl Marteney, Akron and Mrs. Byron Baer, Rockwood. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren, four sisters and three brothers - Mrs. Norman Barnhart, Nellie Housel, Mrs. Noah McKenzie, Mrs. Homer Klink, Harry, William and Cyrus Housel, all of Meyersdale. Mrs. Shumaker was a life-long member of Amity Reformed Church, and faithfully attended its services. Funeral services were conducted at the Shumaker home on Wednesday morning at 10:30 o'clock by Rev. Nelson C. Brown, pastor of Amity Church. Miss Ida Shumaker, sister-in-law of the deceased offered a beautiful prayer at the service. Interment was made in Union Cemetery in charge of W. C.
