ROBERT W. SHUMAKER

  Robert W. Shumaker, son of the late Irvin and Theresa (Rhodes) Shumaker, died 
August 7, 1942, at his home in Jefferson, Pa., after a lingering illness.  He 
was born near Meyersdale August 28, 1888.  Surviving him are his wife, Margaret 
Coleman Shumaker, and the following children: Mrs. Mable Haladyna, Clarksville, 
Pa., Mrs. Glenn Bowser, Hazelwood, Pa., Mrs. Everett Hill, Jefferson, Pa., 
Robert, Clarksville, Rhea, Mae, Betty, Hubert, Lamar, Donna and Beverly, all at 
home.  Two sisters, Mrs. James Whitford, Hyndman, and Ruth Shumaker, York, Pa.; 
two brothers, Harry Shumaker, Pittsburgh, and Rutherford, Baltimore, Md., and 
four grandchildren also survive.  Services were held Sunday in the Muddy Creek 
Presbyterian Church, followed by burial in the church cemetery.
