   Vietta M. Shumaker, 62, Meyersdale, died Oct. 1, 2007, at Memorial Medical Center. Born
  May 1, 1945, in Meyersdale, the daughter of Lawrence Hemming, Meyersdale and the late
  Anna Mae Ross. Preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Shumaker Jr. Survived by two
  children, Karen, wife of Don Hutchinson; and Robert Shumaker, both of Meyersdale; and
  grandchildren, Kayla, Jalisa and Rebecca. She is a sister of Leroy, Ken and Chester
  Hemming and Inez Poelstra, all of Meyersdale. She was a member of the Pentecostal
  Apostolic Church. Friends received from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the M. Ray Leckemby
  Funeral Home, where a funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday. Larry Stewart,
  pastor, officiating. Interment Meyersdale Union Cemetery.
