  SHUMAKER 
  
    Ward E. Shumaker Sr., 63, Quecreek, died Oct. 22, 1995, in his
  home.  Born Sept. 16, 1932, in Somerset Township, Somerset County,
  son of the late Harvey and Sarah (Menhorn) Shumaker.  Also preceded
  in death by brother, Elmer.  Survived by wife, Isabel Foust, and
  these children: Connie Smith, Garrett; Melanie Braga, Waynesburg;
  Jacquelin Anderson, Somerset; Fred, Somerset; Ward Jr., Somerset RD
  6; 8 grandchildren and these brothers and sisters: Grace Arden,
  Somerset RD 2; Mae Alzene Stern and Harvey Jr., both of Quecreek;
  Helen Mayer, Troy, Ohio; and Carl and Robert, LaPorte, Ind.  Member
  of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Somerset, and FOE 1801,
  Somerset.  A retired heavy equipment operator.  Friends will be
  received from 7-9 p.m. Monday (today) and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in
  Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, where service will be conducted at
  11 a.m. Wednesday, Rev. Glenn E. Sadler.  Interment, Somerset County
  Memorial Park.
