    Blair C. Shuman Sr., 84, Morgantown, Ky., died Aug. 19, 2006, at Morgantown Care and
  Rehabilitation Center. Born June 28, 1922, in Somerset, son of the late George Shuman and
  Mary Kramer Duppstadt. Preceded in death by parents, son, Ronald Shuman and step-daughter,
  Joan Bates. Survived by wife, Betty L. Shuman and these children: Blair C. (Evelyn) Shuman
  Jr., Charlestown, Ind.; Brenda Shuman, Charlestown, Ind.; Debbie (Duane) Polston, New
  Albany, Ind.; Mary Spalding, Charlestown, Ind.; Frances Craig, Otisco, Ind.; Sharon
  (James) Akemon, Charlestown, Ind.; stepson, William (Wanda) Laird, Louisville, Ky.;
  stepdaughters, Jane (Woody) Woodcock, Roundhill, Ky.; Joyce (Donald) Huddleston, Lebanon
  Jct.; June Speck, Louisville, Ky.; Paula Lawrence, Louisville, Ky.; brother, Clarence
  (Marty) Duppstadt, Rockwood; sisters, Eleanor Richards, Windber; Mildred (Fred) Jacobs,
  Johnstown; Rita (Dan) Polca, Barnsville; Betty (Frank) Baumgardner, Somerset; Dorothy
  (Harold) Fisher, Somerset; six grand-children; five great-grand-children, eight
  step-grand-children; 11 step great-grand-children. A World War II Army veteran and a
  self-employed carpenter. Friends received from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  Tuesday at Patton Funeral Home, Brownsville Chapel, where funeral service will be held 2
  p.m. Tuesday. Interment, Sweeden Cemetery.
