Born Dec. 11, 1910 in Somerset County, a son of Edward and Anna (Dalpopti) Sicheri. Survived by his wife, Ruth Pile, two children, Connie, wife of John Kolesko, Bolton, Conn.; George Edward at home; a sister, Ida, wife of Frank Olexa, Somerset RD 2, one granddaughter, four step sisters, Mrs. Dolly Rock, Mrs. Dorothy Berkey, both of Somerset RD 2; Mrs. Jennie Harrison, Stewart Draft, Va.; Mrs. Nora Cober, Daytona Beach, Fla.; and a step brother, James, of Somerset. He was a member of the Brotherton Church of the Brethren; FOE 1801 in Somerset; Veterans of Foreign Wars Somerset Post 554; Somerset American Legion post. He was a veteran of World War II and served with the 29th Division. Also a member of TPA and United Commercial Travelers, Johnstown and Old Timer Baseball. He operated a meat market and grocery store in Quecreek for the past 49 years. Funeral arrangements in charge of the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home are incomplete.
