Siehl, veteran Johnstown policeman, who died February 25 last, passed away at Memorial Hospital, Johnstown, at 10:45 o'clock Saturday night. She had been a patient there for three weeks. Her sister-in-law, Mrs. Mattie Ann Rowe, 65, of Clair Street, Lorain Borough, died in the same institution about 10 hours earlier, after suffering a stroke. The remains of Mrs. Siehl were removed to the Gocher Funeral Home, where services were conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Rev. S. V. Carmany of the First Evangelical Church officiated. Interment was in the Union Cemetery, Meyersdale, six nephews were pallbearers. Mrs. Siehl was born at Braidwood, Ill., a daughter of John and Frances (James) Rowe. Following her marriage to Mr. Siehl, she lived in Meyersdale and Boswell for several years before locating in Johnstown. Surviving Mrs. Siehl are these children: George, Mrs. Melvin Signer, William, Albert, Mrs. Vincent Hartnett, and Mathew, all of Johnstown. There are 16 grandchildren. Mrs. Siehl was a sister of William Rowe, Johnstown; Fred Rowe, Meyersdale; Matthew and John Rowe, both of Johnstown; Mrs. Hannah Finnegan, Meyersdale, and Mrs. Mary Beynon, Johnstown. She was a member of the First Evangelical Church, of the Johnstown Chapter, American War Mothers, and of Lady Menoher Auxiliary, V.F.W. The latter organization held ritualistic services at 8 o'clock Monday evening at the Gocher Funeral Home, which was followed immediately afterwards by similar services by the American War Mothers.
