SIEHL George Daniel Siehl, aged 79 years, 11 months and 6 days, died of a cerebral hemorrhage at 10:40 o'clock, Thursday morning, Feb. 13, at his home in Trans- Meyersdale. He was a retired hardware merchant. Born in Summit Township, March 7, 1868, he was a son of the late Michael and Catherine (Bodes) Siehl. Besides his wife, Mrs. Janet (Hamilton) Siehl, he is survived by five children: Lawrence H., Cumberland, Md.; Mrs. Melvin L. Geisbert, Meyersdale; Mrs. Norman O. Suder, Somerset; Royal H. and C. Irving Siehl, Detroit, Mich. Three brothers also survive: Henry C., Somerset; Clemon, Puyallup, Wash.; and Louis P., Detroit; and two sisters: Mrs. C. J. Bowmaster and Mrs. John Mimna, both of Meyersdale. He also left six grandchildren. Funeral services were held in Amity Reformed Church last Sunday afternoon, conducted by his pastor, Rev. Nelson C. Brown. Interment was made in Union Cemetery, under the direction of H. R. Konhaus. Meyersdale Republican, February 20, 1947
