Silbaugh died Tuesday evening, May 19, 1942, in Addison Township near Harnedsville, Pa., following an illness of several weeks from a heart ailment. His age was 72 years, 8 months and 26 days. He was the son of Jeremiah and Lucinda (McClintock) Silbaugh. He taught school for a number of years in his early life, after which he followed farming on the family homestead. He is survived by his wife, Emma Colborn Silbaugh; a brother Robert Silbaugh, and a niece, Mrs. John Wilkins, of Confluence, Route 3. Friends were received at the Rishebarger Funeral Home at Addison. The funeral services were held on Friday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock in the Methodist Episcopal Church, Addison, by Mrs. Mary Richey assisted by Rev. John Rodahaver, of the Silbaugh church. The pallbearers were Harry Kesler, Peter Gower, Edward Holliday, Luther McClintock, Elmer Tressler, and Lloyd Colflesh. Interment in Addison Cemetery under the direction of H. B. Rishebarger, Mortician. Meyersdale Republican, May 28, 1942 --- EDWARD W. SILBAUGH Confluence Edward W. Silbaugh, 72 years old, died Wednesday at his home near here after an illness of several weeks of a heart ailment. Mr. Silbaugh was a son of the late Jeremiah and Lucinda McClintock Silbaugh. Surviving in addition to his wife, Emma Colburn Silbaugh, are one brother, Robert, and a niece, Mrs. John Wilkins, of Confluence, R.D. 3. The funeral service was held in the Addison Methodist Church in charge of Rev. Mary Richey. Interment was made in the Addison Cemetery in charge of Funeral Director H. B. Reshberger.
