Silbaugh, 81, of Confluence, died Thursday Sept. 23, 1982, in Somerset Community Hospital. He was born March 23, 1901, in Confluence, son of the late David A. and Ada Mae (Wilson) Silbaugh. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mildred (Pyle) Silbaugh, and son David "Skip". He was survived by his wife, Mary (Murphy) Silbaugh; and the following children: Eleanor Ansell of Confluence; Dolores Kinsinger of Gahanna, Ohio; Elmer, Altoona; and Patricia Younkin of Garrett, Ind.; 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; three sisters: Ruth Thorpe of Dickerson Run, Pa.; Sarah Harbaugh of North Sacramento, Calif.; and Margaret Smell of Farmington; also three brothers: Harry of Orlando, Fla.; George of Farmington; and Robert of Gibbons Glade, Pa. He was a retired member of the United Mine Workers and a member of the Jersey Baptist Church. The Republic, September 30, 1982 [S1731]
