All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/somerset/ _________________________________________ Silva, Joseph DIED FROM BLOOD POISON, Boswell, June 30, Blood poisoning, following an injury to his head two weeks ago, resulted yesterday afternoon in the death of Joseph Silva, a well-known resident of Boswell. Mr. Silva was accidentally struck on the head with a sledge hammer, but did not seem to be badly injured. He worked the next one and one-half days and then became ill. Blood poisoning developed and for four or five days before his death, Mr. Silva was unconscious. Joseph Silva was 52 years old. He is survived by his second wife, who was Miss Sipe, and by eight children, six to the first wife and two to the second. The funeral will be held at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning from the Boswell Lutheran Church where a sermon will be preached by Rev. Mr. Rice, the rector. Interment will be at Jenners.
