  SILVIS
  
    Mary Ann Silvis, 87, Westside Apartments, Oswego, Kan., died June
  10, 1996, at her home after a sudden illness.  Born June 7, 1909, at
  Elderton, Pa., the daughter of James C. and Agnes (Fyock) Williams. 
  She grew up and attended schools at Elderton.  Before graduating from
  high school at Indiana, she married Guy Vaughn Silvis on May 22, 1931,
  at Elderton.  He preceded her in death July 2, 1965.  Also preceded in
  death by three daughters:  Beverly Ann and Sally Ann Silvis and
  Katherine Louise Weimer.  Mary Ann worked as a dietitian for the
  Somerset Joint High School at Somerset from 1952 till her retirement
  in 1973.  She moved to Oswego, Kan., to be near her daughter in 1987,
  where she had lived since.  She enjoyed card playing at the Oswego
  Senior Citizen Center.  Member of St. Paul's Presbyterian Church of
  Somerset.  Attended Oswego Presbyterian Church.  Life member of
  Oswego VFW auxiliary and Oswego American Legion auxiliary.  Also a
  member of Somerset Fire Department auxiliary and Pennsylvania Retired
  Teachers Association.  Survived by one daughter, Jeanne Dalton,
  Oswego, 7 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.  The body will be
  cremated.  A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Oswego
  Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Paul Wiand and Keith Stammer
  officiating, under the direction of the Murdock Funeral Home,
  Oswego.  Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park at Somerset at a
  later date.  Her family suggests memorials to the VFW Auxiliary
  Cancer Fund c/o the funeral home, 203 Illinois, Oswego, Kan.  67356.
