SIMERAL August 11, 1916 January 21, 2004 Emma M. Simeral, 87, of St. Paul Homes, W. Salem Twp., Greenville, died Wednesday, January 21, 2004, at St. Paul Homes, after an extended illness. She was born August 11, 1916, in Meyersdale, the daughter of the late Melvin V. Albright and Della E. (Yaist) Albright. She was married to W. Vincent Simeral on June 9, 1914, who preceded her in death on October 20, 2002. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Carl Albright. She is survived by three daughters: Mrs. George (Betty) Stubert of Greenville; Patricia A. Simeral of Reston, Va.; and Mrs. Jerry (Sharen) Seiple of Greenville; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Emma was a graduate of Meyersdale High School. She was employed as a sales clerk for J. C. Penny Co. of Greenville for over five years. She was previously employed at G. C. Murphy Co., as a sales clerk for over 15 years, in Turtle Creek, Erie, and Greenville. She was a member of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church of Greenville, a former member of the Altar Rosary Society of the Church and was a Eucharistic Minister and served Communion to local nursing home residents. She was secretary to the assistant principal of St. Michael Elementary School, and also served as a substitute teacher. She was known as "Mrs. Cinnamon Roll" to the children she read to at the school. She was also instrumental in starting St. Michael's Bazaar. She enjoyed ceramic work and made over 65 nativity sets and sent them as far away as Lima, Peru. She was a volunteer at the Good Shepard Center in Greenville. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an avid bowler, belonging to several local leagues. Friends were received at Loutzenhiser-Jordan Colonial Funeral Home, Greenville, Friday, January 23. Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 24, at St. Michael Roman Catholic Church. Committal was in St. Michael Cemetery.
