  Genevieve "Gene" M. (Giles) Simmons, 80, Gray, died Oct. 10, 2005, at her
  daughter's home. Born July 21, 1925, in South Fork, daughter of Frank "James"
  F. and Mary A. (Bingell) Giles. Preceded in death by parents; son, William,
  1994; brothers, James, Fred, William, George and Howard; and sisters, Blanch,
  Pearl, Violet and Mary. Survived by daughter, Jackie, married to Jack Kimmel,
  Somerset; son, Otis J., married to the former Lynette Palazzi, Somerset Pike,
  Boswell; grandchildren, Stacy, married to Paul Wheeler, Somerset; Stephanie,
  married to Matthew Tomlinson, Venica; Ted Simmons, U.S. Navy, Norfolk, Va.;
  Marie, married to Brian Lamb, Charleston, N.C.; Megan Simmons, Somerset Pike,
  Boswell, and her fiancˇ, Brandon Fulner; and Michael and William Simmons, both
  of Somerset Pike, Boswell; and great-grandchildren, Jacob and Colby Wheeler and
  Grace Tomlinson. A graduate of South Fork High School. Retired waitress with 33
  years of service at the Pine Grill Restaurant, Somerset. She also ran a small
  grocery store in Gray when her children were young. Gene truly enjoyed her
  grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an avid sports fan. She
  especially liked hockey, soccer and livestock shows. She also enjoyed attending
  auctions and yard sales. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday
  at the Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Main Street, Boswell, where a
  service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Michael A. Dunlap officiating.
  Interment, South Fork Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given to "In-Touch"
  Hospice, 1590 N. Center Ave., Somerset, PA 15501.
