  SIMPSON
  
    Elaine M. Simpson, 70, of Somerset died March 1, 1999, at
  Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh.  Born Oct. 31, 1928, in
  Somerset.  A daughter of the late Earl and Ethel (Berkey) Yoder. 
  Also preceded in death by a sister, Betty (Yoder) McGuire.  Survived
  by her husband, Willard S. Simpson; two daughters, Mrs. Richard
  (Margaret) Heaslip, Morgantown, W.Va., and Mrs. Jay (Vicki) Lauver,
  Williamsport, Md.; a son Stephen W. Simpson, Somerset; six
  grandchildren and a brother, Vernon Yoder, Somerset.  Death ends a
  marriage of 50 years.  She was a member of the Somerset Church of the
  Brethren.  Graduate of Somerset High School.  Friends will be received
  from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Robert
  H. Halverson Funeral Home, the Rev. Roger L. Forry officiating. 
  Interment, Husband Cemetery.  Contributions may be made to the
  American Heart Association, 400 Luray Ave., Johnstown, Pa. 15904.
