   Fern Edna (Weyand) Simpson, 78, Somerset, formerly of Pennfield, Ohio, passed on Feb.
  13, 2007. Born Dec. 17, 1928, in Jefferson Township, she is the daughter of the late
  Franklin and Estella (Shaulis) Weyand. She is preceded in death by her parents; infant
  sister, Rose; sister, Ruth Livengood; and brother, Clark Weyand. She is survived by her
  sons, Craig W. Simpson and wife, Margaret, Somerset; and Roger D. Simpson, Coinjock,
  N.C.; and daughter-in-law, Carolyn Simpson Davis, Spencer, Ohio; grandchildren, Orlin
  Simpson and wife, Peggy, Serena Simpson and Roger Simpson Jr.; great-grandchildren Riley
  and Natalie Simpson. She is also survived by brothers Merle Weyand and wife, Marie; Elmer
  Weyand and wife, Lorna; sister-in-law, Martha Weyand, all of Rockwood; and brother-in-law,
  Kenneth Livengood and wife, Katie, Somerset. She was a retired secretary and seamstress.
  She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in New Centerville and a past member of the
  Spencer United Methodist Church in Spencer. She loved to sew and quilt and was a member
  of the Pennfield Women's Fellowship quilting group. Friends will be received from 7 to 9
  p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Miller Funeral Home, Somerset, where a
  service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday. John Palko, pastor, officiating. Interment at
  Somerset County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to
  Messiah Lutheran Church, 134 Bridge St., Rockwood, PA 15557, or the Spencer UM Church,
  201 E. Main St. Spencer, OH 44275.
