  SIMPSON
  
  Henry F. Simpson, 89, of Salisbury, died April 28, 1985, in Altoona
  V.A. Hospital.  Born Aug. 31, 1895, in Birmingham, Ala., son of the
  late Frank R. and Mary (French) Simpson.  Survived by a brother, J.
  Alden of Greenville, S.C.  He was a retired employee of the Deer
  Valley YMCA.  He was a member and former secretary and news editor of
  the Salisbury Lions Club.  He was a veteran of World War I and a
  member of the Salisbury American Legion.  Friends will be received
  Tuesday (today) 7-9 p.m. at the Thomas Funeral Home, Salisbury.  A
  memorial service will be held later in Birmingham with interment in
  the Elmwood Cemetery.
