  MELVIN W. SIMPSON
  
    Melvin W. Simpson, 80, of Meyersdale, died August 23, 1978, at the
  Meyersdale Community Hospital.  Born February 10, 1898, in Virginia,
  he was the son of the late William and Hettie (Simpson) Simpson.
    He is survived by his wife, the former Bertha Firle, and one
  daughter, Mrs. Virginia Wilson, Newport News, Va.
    Services were conducted Friday, August 25 at 2 p.m. at the Price
  Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Randall officiating.  Interment was
  in Union Cemetery.
