  SIMPSON
  
    Sidney E. Simpson, 87, formerly of Friedens, died April 5, 1978, in
  the Scottsdale Memorial Hospital, Scottsdale Ariz.  She was the
  daughter of Cyrul and Julia Pile of Friedens.  She was preceded in
  death by her husband, Lowell V. Simpson, and is survived by a
  daughter, two sisters, two brothers and a granddaughter.  She was a
  member of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church and a former member of
  the Trinity Lutheran Church of Somerset.  Friends are being received
  Monday at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Phoenix, with Pastor
  Gangsei officiating.  In lieu of flowers, friends may contribute in
  memorial to either the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church or Augustana
  College, Rock Island, Ill.
