Louis Sinclair Jr., Somerset RD 6, died July 11, 1983, at Somerset Community Hospital of injuries received in a mining accident. Born May 26, 1927, in Portage, he was a son of Mary Ellen (Cordwell) Sinclair of Angola, N.Y., and the late Louis Sinclair Sr. He was preceded in death by his father, a sister, two brothers and one son, Richard. He is survived by his wife, the former Dorothy Miller; and these children: Mary Ellen Sinclair, Tammy Lou Sinclair, Brenda, Mark, Michelle and Ronald Buxton, all at home; Debra Buxton of Meyersdale RD 4; James Buxton of Jennerstown; and John Buxton of Acosta; also 6 grandchildren. He was a brother of Thomas of San Marine, Calif.; Hank of Lady Lake, Fla.; William Spotsylvania, Va.; Mrs. Gladys Leigh and George of Angola, N.Y.; Richard and James of Buffalo, N.Y. He was employed by M&W Coal Company, Cove I Mines, Jennerstown, A veteran of U.S. Army, World War II, where he received the Purple Heart. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home, where funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. H. Wayne Beam officiating.
