Born May 12, 1927, in Sines, Md., he is a son of the late Raymond G. and Mary Frances (Spiker) Sines. Also preceded in death by two brothers, William and Troy Sines and one granddaughter. He is survived by his wife, Thelma Geraldine (Werdebaugh) Sines; three sons, Herman J. (Buck) Sines, Manassas, Va.; Robert P. "Bob" Sines, Fredericksburg, Va.; Donald R. (Donny) Sines, Springs; four daughters, Mary Lou Phillips, Friedens; Barbara "Barb" Yates, Grantsville, Md.; Wilma Beitzel, New Bern, N.C.; and Alice M. "Sis" Holler, Boynton; five brothers, Milton Sines, Ridgeley, W.Va.; Raymond Sines, Erie; Dayton Sines, Huntingdon; Roger Sines, Gray; and Randy Sines, Cleveland, Tenn; three sisters, Erma Cooke, Cairnbrook; Wilma Lipscomb, Belleville, Mich.; and Winona, Florida; 18 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Mr. Sines was a retired shop foreman for Miller Machine Works, Springs. He is a World War II Army veteran. A member of the Little Meadow Baptist Church, Grantsville, Md., and he also enjoyed woodworking. Friends will be received 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller Street, Grantsville, Md., where a service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Rick High officiating. Interment will be held in Salisbury Cemetery Military graveside services will be accorded by local Veteran organizations.
