    Dr. Chester Jerome Singer Jr., 52, Warren, died Sept. 10, 1998 at
  Warren.  Born March 17, 1946 in Meyersdale, a son of Chester Jerome
  and Marguerite Mary (Shoemaker) Singer Sr.  Preceded in death by
  parents.  Survived by wife, the former Sharon Ann Trent; children,
  Katharine M. Singer, New Castle, and Sean A. Singer married to the
  former Jenny Parmarter, Wesleyville.  Brother of William F. Singer,
  Allentown; Mrs. Terry R. (Margaret "Peggy") Ream, Markleton RD;
  Thomas J. Singer, married to the former Lynn M. Cox, Somerset.  A 1963
  graduate of Somerset High School; 1967 graduate of Slippery Rock State
  College with a BS in Education.  Received his PhD from the University
  of Pittsburgh in 1971.  Director of Pupil Services in the Warren
  County School District from 1988 to 1998.  Member of Fraternal Order
  of Eagles, Warren.  Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
  Monday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, 494 West Main Street,
  Somerset, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m., Tuesday, with
  Monsignor Samuel J. Tomaselli officiating.  Interment Somerset County
  Memorial Park.  Contributions may be made to the American Cancer
  Society, 168 West Union Street, Somerset, Pa. 15501 and the American
  Heart Association, 400 Luray Ave., Johnstown.
