Singer, 56, Champion, died Nov. 17, 2001 at his home. Born Feb. 19, 1945 in Pittsburgh, son of the late Albert L. and Sylvia M. Mottle Singer. Survived by his wife, Mary Cunningham Singer; three sons, Michael Singer and his wife Sherry of Kecksburg, Brian Singer and his wife Traci and Norman Singer, all of Champion; six grandchildren; one sister, Sylvia Youngblut and her husband Carl of Redmond, Wash.; 12 nieces and nephews and 12 great-nieces and nephews. Graduate of North Catholic High School in 1963. Owner and operator of Singer Construction Co. and Gold Hill Log Homes of Champion. Also co-owner of the Tree House in Jones Mills and the former owner and operator of the Singer Patter Co. in Pittsburgh and Champion. Member of St. Raymond of the Mountains Roman Catholic Church, Donegal. Former member of the Indian Creek Valley Lions Club and he was active in the Boy Scouts of America, serving as a leader for many years. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the Clyde Brooks Funeral Home Inc., Route 711, Melcroft. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, in St. Raymond of the Mountains R.C. Church, Donegal. Rev. John Harrold, celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Raymond's Cemetery, Saltlick Twp.
