  Mrs. Ida F. Sipe, 84, Stoystown RD 3, died June 22, 1977, at Somerset
  Community Hospital.  She was born July 21, 1892, in Quemahoning
  Township daughter of Austin and Mary Jane (Zeigler) Custer.  She was
  preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles Lester in 1942, two
  sisters; Stella Sipe, and Grace Eichelberger, and three brothers,
  Park, Harry, and Paul.  She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Vesta
  Bowers, and Mrs. Bert (Anita) Shaffer, both of Stoystown RD 3; five
  grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and seven great-great
  grandchildren.  She was a sister of Mrs. Ethel Zarefoss, Stoystown RD
  3.  Family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Thursday and 2-4 and 7-9
  p.m. Friday at the Deaner Funeral home in Stoystown.  Remains will be
  removed to Mostoller United Methodist Church to lie in state from 10
  a.m. until 11 a.m. services Saturday, the Rev. J. Wesley Spahn,
  officiating.  Interment, Oddfellow Cemetery, Stoystown.
